GOFYNDER Joins AFS
'Extra Income from your Unused Space'
(MINNEAPOLIS, MN, LOS ANGELES, CA, August 1, 2019) – The Association of Fitness Studios (AFS) today proudly announced and welcomed GOFYNDER to its membership ranks, offering a safe place where independent health and fitness professionals can find great spaces to host their clients.
Created by the husband and wife team of Bob and Terren Burson, GOFYNDER was born out of necessity, as Terren – an independent yoga instructor - struggled for years to find spaces to host clients. Then came the realization that this identical problem was likely being experienced by many. 
Conversely, it’s public knowledge that many fitness facilities have “down time” that still costs overhead and would be well served being filled with programming and clients.
“GOFYNDER has identified a problem and provided a solution for both sides of the coin,” said Josh Leve, AFS founder and CEO. “Their program helps both the trainer and the studio or gym, and there’s no upfront fees for either party. This is messaging I expect to resonate with our AFS audience.”
The GOFYNDER model is a simple transaction that connects fit pros looking to rent space with studios or gyms (“hosts”) that have space to rent. There’s no fee for facilities to be listed on the GOFYNDER site and availability, pricing, and acceptance are all controlled by the host.
“We have made it our mission to empower and inspire the health and fitness professionals of the world,” said Bob Burson. “We believe that all members of our community can benefit from sharing our spaces and we know this philosophy is also shared by the AFS community.”
Through GOFYNDER, fitness professionals can rent great spaces when they need them, only for the time they need them without any long-term commitment. The financial transaction – a 6% surcharge – only occurs when the booking is completed.
At the end of the day, it’s a win/win/win scenario. The fitness professional has a variety of wonderful locations to hold sessions, studios fill unused time, and the clients are satisfied customers. And nobody pays a penny until the deal is done!
