Total Gym Latest Fitness Supplier To Join AFS
(OAKLAND, CA, SAN DIEGO, CA, August 26, 2016) – The Association of Fitness Studios (AFS) today proudly announced and welcomed the addition of Total Gym to its associate membership and sponsorship ranks.
Total Gym, one of the fitness industry’s most prominent brands, provides world-class commercial fitness equipment that meets clients where they're at in their fitness journey and takes them where they want to go. Employing the most current exercise philosophies of functional training, Total Gym uses the exerciser's own body weight for resistance.
“Total Gym has been an industry leader for a long time,” said Josh Leve, AFS founder and CEO. “Their products and programs such as GRAVITY are ideal for the studio market. We’re very pleased to welcome them into to our AFS community.”
With a licensing program called GRAVITY®, using the Total Gym bodyweight incline trainers, fitness studios can maximize their business potential with fun, fresh challenging workouts for all fitness levels. The Total Gym® Elevate Circuit™, a line of six self-serve single stations units using adjustable bodyweight resistance on an incline, is ideal as a dedicated strength circuit, perfect for small group training or as part of a HIIT program bootcamp station.
“We know and understand the fitness market very well,” said Stefanie Maio, director of marketing at Total Gym. “We’ve watched AFS evolve and grow and we agree that our products and services will enhance the business of studios everywhere.”
Total Gym is the world’s leading privately-held manufacturer of functional and incline bodyweight training equipment. Founded in 1974, the San Diego-based company’s products are used in 14,000 physical therapy clinics, athletic training facilities, hospitals, universities, professional sports teams and health clubs, inspiring over 24 million workouts per year worldwide.
The brand has worldwide recognition through the longest running television infomercial in history, selling over four million Total Gym units into the consumer market.
“We’re thrilled to have Total Gym on board,” said Leve. “Their products and marketing knowledge will be a huge asset to our association and the studio segment of the market.”
