AFS, NSCA Sign Expanded Collaboration Agreement
 

(OAKLAND, CA, COLORADO SPRINGS, CO, May 12, 2017)  – The Association of Fitness Studios (AFS) and the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA) announced today that they have reached a collaboration agreement to exchange education and information, and provide unique opportunities to each other’s constituencies. 

NSCA is the world-leading membership organization for thousands of elite strength coaches, personal trainers, dedicated researchers, and educators, providing publications, education, certification, events, and awards among its many benefits of membership.  

“We’ve been working harmoniously with NSCA for several years, successfully delivering value and benefits to each other’s membership” said Josh Leve, AFS founder and CEO.  “We both agreed that it was time to increase our collaboration by building on that strong foundation.”

NSCA provides a valuable balance of the newest findings in strength and conditioning research and its practical application. The organization is well known for many initiatives - its peer-reviewed publications, for example – and include many different reports and journals, study aids, and books that are a top resource for continuing education and professional development.

NSCA education and events are also among the industry’s leaders.  Research-based programs, content, and videos reflect its worldwide authority status on strength and conditioning, and the practical application to improve athletic performance and fitness.
