Railyard Fitness Latest Supplier To Join AFS

(Oakland, CA, December 1, 2016) – The Association of Fitness Studios (AFS) today proudly announced and welcomed the addition of Railyard Fitness to its membership ranks.

Created in 2007 by 40-year fitness veteran Lee Spieker, the Railyard is the first indoor, portable obstacle course, patterned after nature’s environment that included logs, rocks, stumps, trees, and hills, where humans evolved - the original “fitness.”

The Course has received rave reviews from over 1,000 customers worldwide in physical education, youth and elite athletic conditioning, personal training and institutional fitness.

The Railyard was designed to replicate the benefits of the outdoor obstacle courses used in elite athletic training and fitness programming around the world.  But its beauty lies in its versatility as fitness tool for every age and ability, especially when targeting youth fitness.

“In an era when differentiation is the key to studio success and a youth obesity crisis unsurpassed in our history – Railyard presents an easy-access solution,” said Josh Leve, AFS founder and CEO.  “Railyard is an innovative product created by Lee Spieker - an industry innovator committed to the future of fitness.”

That commitment is further evidenced by Railyard’s support and operation of www.1houraday.org - a program that mobilizes the fitness community to support children’s exercise in schools.

“Studies show that children who exercise one hour a day will become happier, healthier and more productive members of our society and future consumers of fitness,” said Spieker, Railyard founder and CEO. “This alone will greatly reduce our nation’s healthcare expense and guarantee the fitness market a new generation of consumers.”

The Railyard Portable Obstacle Course in an investment that provides a measurable ROI, increased sales, and improved retention.  It presents a new and exciting challenge that current and prospective members find physically interesting, mentally creative, and productive.

No new certification is necessary to put the Railyard and its benefits immediately to use.  Simply set it up and move existing programs up to a new level.  Other benefits include easy set up and take down, storage in a small space, and no-problem transportation to off-site workouts and promotions.
